F.A.Qs - Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I have my pavement seal coated? Besides making your pavement look much better, sealers protect asphalt from the destructive elements of weather, gas, oil and other chemicals that damage the paved surface. |
How long will the seal coating last? After the first coat of seal coating, you should repeat the process every 2-3 years. |
What is the best time of year to have repairs and maintenance performed on my lot? Seal coating is performed during the warmer months, late spring through early fall. Sealers need warm temperatures (above 50 degrees) to cure properly. |
Do you provide free estimates? Yes |
How long should I stay off my new pavement? Approximately 72 hours |
How long does a newly installed driveway last? As long as your driveway is properly installed, maintained and not misused, it should last between 10 to 20 years. Proper drainage and a good sub base are important to the life of your asphalt. Large trucks and equipment can decrease the life of the driveway. |
What’s better an asphalt driveway or a concrete driveway? It is a personal preference. Concrete driveways tend to stain more often than asphalt. Cracks are easier to repair on an asphalt surface. The cost to install an asphalt driveway tends to be more economical. |
